About IMPACT 2030

IMPACT 2030 is a private sector-led initiative that, in collaboration with the United Nations, civil society, academia and other stakeholders, is leveraging human capital investments through employee volunteer programs to advance the achievement of the SDGs.

IMPACT 2030 was created in response to UN Resolution A/RES/66/67 that encouraged further engagement with the private sector “through the expansion of corporate volunteering and employee volunteer activities”. We believe that corporations are a valuable resource uniquely poised to help respond to the needs of a rapidly changing world. The SDGs are focused on addressing the most critical issues in the world, including poverty, inequality and climate change. IMPACT 2030 is to align companies and their employee volunteer efforts with these global goals to create real and sustainable change. Our mission and objectives are:

  • Promote awareness of the SDGs to employees around the world, advance the practice of employee volunteering, and showcase how their volunteer actions to the achievement of the SDGs;
  • Create and facilitate avenues for cross-sector and cross-industry cooperation to initiate joint commitments and actions impacting the SDGs;
  • Work with existing resources to develop methodologies and frameworks through which to measure the impact of volunteer commitments of our member companies and the collective results of the IMPACT 2030 network on the development agenda;
  • Create and maintain global representation through our multi-sector Regional Voice Network, providing a platform to focus efforts on a country and region-wide basis.
